Effective Date: March 19, 2026
Welcome to Publishing Squad! When you use our website or sign up for our services, you agree to these rules. They keep things clear and fair for everyone. If you are not comfortable with any part, just let us know or step away from using our services. Here is everything you need to understand.
By partnering with Publishing Squad, clients agree to:
- Follow the project timeline and revision structure outlined in their service agreement.
- Provide accurate information and timely feedback for successful delivery.
- Understand that creative work is collaborative, requiring input from both parties.
- Use our services for lawful purposes only.
- All rights to manuscripts, completed books, and creative content remain with the author unless contractually modified.
1. Introduction
We are Publishing Squad, a USA-based company located at 800 W Queen Creek Rd Apt 1075, Chandler, AZ, 85248, passionate about helping authors share their stories. These terms create a binding agreement between you and us. By browsing our site or hiring us, you confirm you have read and accepted these guidelines. Questions? Reach out to us at info@publishingsquad.com or call (888) 512 1280.
2. Services
We offer a range of tools to help authors succeed. Our services include ghostwriting, editing, proofreading, formatting, publishing, marketing, and more. All our services follow these terms, so you know exactly what to expect.
3. Email Communications and Marketing
By providing your email address through our website—whether to download a resource (like our Publishing Blueprint), sign up for our newsletter, or request a consultation—you agree to receive email communications from Publishing Squad.
These communications may include:
- Publishing tips and educational resources
- Information about our services and promotional offers
- Project updates and transactional messages related to your inquiries or purchases
Consent: You explicitly agree to receive these communications by affirmatively checking the consent box on our forms. This box is never pre-checked. You are not required to consent to marketing to receive our free resources or services; you can simply download a guide or contact us without agreeing to marketing emails.
Opt-Out: You may withdraw your consent and unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in the footer of every email we send. We will process your request within 24 hours. Please note that transactional emails related to active projects or purchases may still be necessary.
3.1 Email Service Provider
To manage and deliver our email communications, we use Sender.net as our third-party email service provider. When we send you emails, your email address and engagement data (such as opens and clicks) are processed by Sender.net on our behalf. They are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only to provide this service to us.
4. Purchase Policy
To enjoy our services, you will be required to provide your name, contact information, and payment information. Your information is secure because we employ secure third-party payment systems.
If a service is not available, there is a pricing mistake, or we suspect fraud, we may cancel your order. We will always keep you informed.
5. Refund and Revision Policy
5.1 Refunds
- Before Work Starts: Full refund available if requested within 1 business day of purchase and before work has commenced.
- After Work Starts: Partial refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis for work not yet completed. Fees for services already rendered (like editing, ghostwriting drafts) or third-party costs (like ISBNs, distribution fees, cover art licensing) are non-refundable.
- Completed Projects: Once a final deliverable (e.g., formatted book, cover design, published book) is delivered and accepted, or a book is published or available for sale, refunds are not available. If we make a major error, we will correct it at no cost.
- Ghostwriting: If the final draft does not meet your expectations after three rounds of edits, you can request a refund, minus costs for work completed.
- Publishing Services: Once your book is printed or available for sale, refunds are not possible. If we make a major mistake, we will fix it at no cost.
5.2 Revisions
You have 5-10 days after receiving a draft or final product to request revisions for free, as specified in your service agreement.
- Every project includes a specific number of revisions depending on the service tier. Revisions must be based on the original scope of work and may not include new content, structural changes, or add-on services.
- Additional revisions can be purchased if needed.
- For Ghostwriting: Your contract will list the number of included revisions. Extra changes after this period might come with a fee, depending on the work involved.
- For Other Services (marketing, publishing): Revision requests are handled case by case, depending on the scope of work and package details.
5.3 Late Delivery
- On-time Delivery Guarantee: We strive to deliver on time. If we are late due to our own error, and after three attempts to contact you, you may qualify for a 50 percent refund or future discount as compensation.
- Delay Caused by Clients: Delays caused by late feedback, missing files, or unauthorized changes from you do not qualify for refunds. We will work hard to keep your project on schedule.
- Mutual Agreement: All refund cases will be resolved through mutual agreement between the customer and Publishing Squad.
6. Complaint Resolution Policy
We are committed to resolving all client concerns quickly and professionally.
- All complaints are acknowledged within 1 business day.
- A dedicated project manager will investigate and respond within 48 hours.
- We aim for a resolution within 3–5 business days depending on complexity.
- We believe in transparent communication and mutually beneficial solutions.
7. Ineligibility of Refund Claims
We cannot offer refunds in certain cases, such as:
- Minor Issues of Technicality: Minor typos or grammar errors that do not impact the overall quality.
- Client-Related Delays: Delays due to late feedback or missing information from you.
- Low Word Count: Manuscripts that fall short of the agreed word count due to client-provided content.
- Issues Not Raised During Revision Period: Concerns you did not raise during the designated revision window.
- Additional Requirements or Unreasonable Demands: New requests added after the project starts or outside the original scope.
- Tips or Extra Instructions: Guidance or instructions given to writers outside the formal agreement.
8. Change of Mind
- Before Starting Services: If you decide our services are not for you before we begin, let us know within one business day for a full refund.
- After Starting Services: After we start working, we can discuss a partial refund based on what is already done. Email us, and we will sort it out together.
9. Service Delivery & Timeline Policy
All project timelines are shared at the start and depend on the service type (editing, publishing, marketing, etc.). Delays caused by client feedback times, missing files, or unauthorized changes will extend the delivery timeline automatically. We maintain clear communication throughout the entire process.
10. Quality Assurance Policy
Every project undergoes internal checks for accuracy, professionalism, and adherence to publishing standards before final delivery.
11. Inadequate Delivery
If our work does not meet the agreed standards, let us know within two weeks with three documented revision requests. Use our project management tool, official email (info@publishingsquad.com), or assigned contact numbers to keep things official.
12. Intellectual Property
Once you pay in full, all rights to your book, including copyright, belong to you. You can publish, sell, or share it as you wish. We may use short excerpts or your book cover to promote our services, but we will check with you first if you prefer we do not. Our website name, logo, and trademarks remain ours.
13. Copyright Policy
We take copyright issues seriously. If you believe your work has been misused, email info@publishingsquad.com with clear evidence. We will investigate quickly and act if needed. False claims could lead to you covering our legal costs, so please be truthful.
14. SMS Communication Consent
By providing your phone number and checking the consent box on our forms, you agree to receive SMS text messages from Publishing Squad regarding customer questions, order updates, and support inquiries.
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier.
- Message frequency may vary based on your interactions with our team.
- You may reply STOP at any time to opt out of receiving text messages.
- You may reply HELP for customer care contact information.
- Your consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase. We use your phone number only for the purposes stated and take reasonable steps to safeguard your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If you wish to change your SMS preferences or remove your phone number, contact us at info@publishingsquad.com or call (888) 512 1280.
15. Usage Restrictions

- Engage in activities that violate local or international laws.
- Exploit or endanger minors by exposing them to improper content.
- Send unsolicited messages, advertisements, or promotional messages, including spam or junk mail.
- Pretend to be someone else, an organization, or a representative of a company.

16. Limitation of Liability
We are not responsible for indirect damages, like lost profits. Our liability is limited to what you paid for the service. If issues arise, you agree to protect us from claims related to your use of our platform.
17. Governing Law
The United States laws cover these terms, and disputes are settled in the courts of Illinois. In case one of the rules is not valid, the rest remain. We would like to offer you support; however, these are the rules you should follow.
18. Service Modifications
We can alter, suspend, or stop our services any time. We will make no liability since all our facilities will be provided as long as they are available, but we will do our best to inform you. Access to some features of services could be limited as required.
19. Updates to Terms and Conditions
We can update these terms whenever necessary. Check this page for the latest version, shown by the effective date at the top. Using our services after changes means you agree to them. If you are not okay with the updates, please stop using our services.
20. Waiver of Terms
If we do not enforce a rule immediately, that does not imply that we waive it. Assuming that one of the rules does not prove enforceable, we will modify the rule so as to conform to our intent. The rest of the rules remain in effect.
21. Acknowledgment
If you use our website or services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms. Need help? Reach us at info@publishingsquad.com or call (888) 512 1280 and we will help you.
